{This Moment} - Shivaya Naturals

{This Moment}

June 10, 2011

I wanted to thank Amanda for having me yesterday for her Soulful Mothering series. It was an honor to share the space with so many extraordinary women, and thank you to all of you for your kind words.

The photo below is certainly not the best that I took this past week, but it is cherished for many reasons. The photo was taken moments before a really tough storm hit our house, and in the face of feeling sorry for myself at 3 am, I remembered taking it. It was a reminder that no matter what possessions are lost in life, everything is just fine so long as I have my family.

Wishing you a great start to the weekend.

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember ~ Amanda Soule

Isn't that the truth! A very good reminder, and I hate to admit it, but I sometimes need.

Ah I love sleeping babies! How precious all of them together! Ironically my 'this moment' was also of a sleeping baby. (Well she is not tech. a baby anymore but to me she always will be!)

So Sweet. We have had a few of those moments recently, too–the calm before the storm. Scary moments bookended by love and comfort and a feeling of gratefulness.
