Our next store update, and our last update for our Autumn collection, will be this Monday, September 22nd. Our sign-ups for our lace club will begin on October 1st as well, with more details coming shortly.

Here are a few pictures of Tudor Grace and The Fiddlehead Scarf that I mentioned in my last post. Tudor Grace is knitted in Shivaya Bamboo and Merino. The Fiddlehead Scarf is done in Shivaya’s Merino Lace in Dusty Rose

Also, here are two other pieces that I am currently working on; First, I have been saving some Rowan Biggy Print in beautiful fall colors to make a stole for myself. I intend to have this done before the Autumn Equinox this coming Monday. My family does a big harvest feast on the day of the Equinox, and I thought that there might be nothing better that enjoying a new piece of knitting on such a special day.

The second piece is Anne Hanson’s Feather and Fan Stole using Shivaya Fingering Merino in Coral Rose. I love the color of this yarn, and the drape is really fantastic. I am excited to get this piece completed, and sent off to a special recipient for the holidays.

My friend, Stacy Z, knit up Jared Flood’s Porom a bit a go in Shivaya Fingering Merino. I think that the hat looks amazing on Stacy, and a HUGE thank you goes out to her for working on this the way that she did.

I am so excited to be heading off in October to the Knitting at The Ranch retreat with Anne Hanson. I am a vendor at the retreat (which is really special), and it is great to be able to show off some of Shivaya’s Winter Collection of yarns(I will also have many autumn colors as well). I am traveling down with a really good friend of mine, and the idea of some relaxing bonding time, coupled with spending four days learning from Anne Hanson, it is just too good to be true. I have friends in Longmont who travel to Abiquiu, New Mexico often, and they just rave about it. I will let you all know how it goes.

Oh, I am so jealous to hear that you are headed to Abiquiu! I am sure that you will love it, and you'll find the landscape there inspirational! We are hoping to make a trip down there to Red Mountain Farm in the spring.
